A trivia night runs on paper: one answer sheet per team, handed in after each round and marked while the next round is read out. This sheet is built for multiple-choice questions. Forty numbered rows in two columns of 20 make four rounds of ten, and every row has four bubbles, A to D, 5.3 mm across.
The header differs from a classroom sheet. Instead of a student name and class it has Team name, Table #, Round and Date lines, so one sheet can be traced back to its table when forty of them are in a pile. Because the answers are bubbles, a volunteer can mark a round against a printed key without deciphering anyone's handwriting.
Who this sheet is for
- Multiple-choice pub quizzes and bar trivia
- School and PTA fundraiser trivia nights
- Classroom review games played in teams
- Staff and club quiz nights run by volunteers
When to choose this sheet, and when not to
Use this sheet for a quiz where every question has four printed choices, such as a general-knowledge round read aloud or shown on a screen. It suits teams because the header names a team and a table rather than a single student, and marking is quick with a key.
It is not a written-answer sheet. Many trivia nights ask teams to write answers on lines; this layout has no lines for that, and we do not offer a written-answer sheet yet. If your format mixes both, print this one for the multiple-choice rounds and use paper of your own for the rest.
If forty questions does not suit your night, open the generator, choose the Pub Quiz / Trivia Night preset and change the number of questions. You can also add the event name as a heading and a faint watermark with the venue name. Print one sheet per team and a few spares, and keep a marked answer key for the scorers.
An example
A school PTA runs a four-round trivia fundraiser with ten multiple-choice questions per round. Each table gets one sheet. Volunteers collect them after the last round and score them against a printed answer key while the winners are tallied.
How to print this at 100% scale
- Open the PDF and choose File → Print.
- Set the scale to Actual size or 100%. Turn off “Fit to page”, “Shrink to fit” and any borderless option.
- Set the paper size to US Letter (8.5" × 11").
- Print one copy and check the four corner squares: each should sit about 5 mm (3/16 inch) in from the paper edge.
Why the fuss? A page scaled by even two percent moves every bubble slightly, and a camera grader measures where a bubble should be. Print at true size and the grid is where the grader expects it; print scaled and it may not be.
Printing note. The header has four fields, so check that Team name and Table # sit clear of the sheet's edge after printing. Print one per team plus a few spares, at 100%.
How to use it
- Print one copy per student at 100% scale, single-sided.
- Have students fill in the header block first — name, date and class, and the Student ID grid if this sheet has one.
- For each question, fill one bubble completely. A half-filled bubble is a common cause of a mark being missed, and an X or a check mark can be another.
- Erase cleanly and completely. Smudged erasures can read as filled bubbles to a camera.
- Grade against an answer key — see the guide on making a test key overlay.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use this for a written-answer pub quiz?
Not really. The sheet has bubbles, not writing lines, so it fits multiple-choice questions. For written answers, plain lined paper with a team name at the top does the job.
How many questions are on the sheet?
Forty, in two columns of twenty, which is four rounds of ten. If you need another number, the generator builds anything from 1 to 300 questions with the same team header.
Can I put the venue or event name on it?
Yes. In the generator, use the heading box for the event title and the watermark box for a faint diagonal venue name, then download the PDF. Both are optional.
Does each team need its own sheet?
Usually. One sheet per team, with the team name and table number written at the top, keeps a stack of answers easy to sort after each round.
Can I print the trivia sheet on A4?
This page is drawn for US Letter. The generator can build the same layout on A4 paper if you choose A4 under Paper size.
