About Bubble Sheet Tools
A small, free resource for teachers, tutors, test-prep centers and homeschoolers who need an answer sheet that prints correctly and grades without drama.
Why this exists
Some bubble sheet sites ask for an email address before they give you a PDF. Some hand you a low-resolution image that can print at the wrong scale. Some render the file on a server, which means your settings are sent to it — an odd thing to do with a document that may double as the answer grid for a real assessment.
This site takes the other approach: static files where possible, a generator that runs entirely in your browser, and no account. It is not clever, but it is predictable, and predictable is what you want on a Monday morning.
How the sheets are made
Every sheet on this site — and every sheet the generator produces — comes from a single layout engine. You describe what you want (question count, choices, columns, paper size, header block) and the engine works out bubble size, row spacing, column widths and page breaks.
The same engine then feeds two outputs: a PDF, and an SVG preview. Because both come from one plan, the preview cannot drift from the file. There is no separate template for the website and another for the download.
How they are checked
The full list of checks, and what they cannot prove, is on how we verify sheets.
Layout bugs on an answer sheet are expensive: a bubble two millimeters out is a wrong answer, and nobody notices until the scores look odd. So the build does not simply write files and hope.
After the PDFs are generated, each one is rasterized by an independent PDF renderer and examined pixel by pixel. The build confirms that every bubble the engine asked for is actually present at its planned center, that the four corner marks are filled, that the page is the size it claims to be, that no bubble overlaps another, and that all ink stays inside a printer-safe band. If any of that fails, the build fails.
It also checks layouts no template uses — 300-question multi-page sheets, one-question sheets, eight-choice sheets in four columns — because the generator can produce those even though the template library does not.
What we collect
There is no account system, so there is no account data. The generator runs in your browser, so your sheet never reaches us. Contact reports are sent only when you submit them. Informational pages use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which may use cookies to measure visits and interactions. Full details, including exactly what is and is not collected, are on the privacy page.
What this site is not
The sheets here are original, generic layouts for classroom and practice use. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or compatible with any commercial scanning brand, and they are not replicas of any official exam form. Where a page says "ACT-style", it is describing a general convention — five choices, or the eight-letter set that skips E and I — not claiming any connection to a specific test.
We do not test against commercial scanners, and we will not claim a sheet works with one. What we can say is that the grid is regular and the geometry is verified by the build. Whether your grading tool reads it is something only a test print can tell you, so test one sheet before you run a class set.
Using the sheets
You may print, photocopy and use the sheets freely for teaching, tutoring, assessment and personal practice. You may also use them commercially inside your own tutoring or test-prep business — marking your own students' work with them is exactly what they are for. What you may not do is resell the files themselves or pass them off as an official form. The terms page has the details.
Who writes the guides
No individual author is named on this site. The guides are published by the editorial team, and where a guide relies on an outside source it links to it. Corrections are welcome; see below.
Get in touch
Corrections are genuinely welcome, particularly about anything that has changed — app pricing, print dialog settings, or a layout that misbehaves on a printer we have not seen. The contact page has the address.
There are 34 sheets in the library, and the generator will build anything from 1 to 300 questions.
