Sixty questions is the length of a long test or a practice section, and this sheet lays it out as two columns of thirty. The numbers run 1 to 30 down the left column and 31 to 60 down the right, with bubbles for A, B, C and D on every row.

At two columns of thirty the bubbles are still at the largest size this site uses, so the test fits on one side of one page without shrinking the grid. That makes it a practical middle step between the 50-question and 100-question sheets.

Who this sheet is for

  • Long tests and mock sections of sixty items
  • Practice tests that sit between 50 and 100 questions
  • Teachers who want one page and large bubbles
  • Exams where a single side makes collecting easier

When to choose this sheet, and when not to

Pick this sheet when your test has about sixty items. Two columns of thirty keep every bubble at the largest size this site uses, which is a size the two-column 100-question sheets cannot match, and the whole paper stays on one side.

If your test has more than sixty items, the 75- and 80-question sheets are the next steps; if it has fewer, the 50-question sheet is the same layout with a little more white space. For an unusual count, the generator will build it, but a ready-made sheet saves a step.

Sixty also divides neatly into sections, which helps when a test has parts: for example two thirty-item parts, one in each column. Tell students which part is in which column before they begin.

An example

A teacher writes a sixty-item practice test in two parts of thirty. Part one is answered in the left column and part two in the right, so students can see where one part ends.

  1. Open the PDF and choose File → Print.
  2. Set the scale to Actual size or 100%. Turn off “Fit to page”, “Shrink to fit” and any borderless option.
  3. Set the paper size to US Letter (8.5" × 11").
  4. Print one copy and check the four corner squares: each should sit about 5 mm (3/16 inch) in from the paper edge.

Why the fuss? A page scaled by even two percent moves every bubble slightly, and a camera grader measures where a bubble should be. Print at true size and the grid is where the grader expects it; print scaled and it may not be.

Printing note. With thirty rows per column there is little spare height. Print one test sheet and check that the last row in each column is fully on the page before you run the class set.

How to use it

  1. Print one copy per student at 100% scale, single-sided.
  2. Have students fill in the header block first — name, date and class, and the Student ID grid if this sheet has one.
  3. For each question, fill one bubble completely. A half-filled bubble is a common cause of a mark being missed, and an X or a check mark can be another.
  4. Erase cleanly and completely. Smudged erasures can read as filled bubbles to a camera.
  5. Grade against an answer key — see the guide on making a test key overlay.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an answer sheet for 60 questions?

Yes, this one: two columns of thirty with A to D bubbles on US Letter, free as a PDF with no signup.

How big are the bubbles on a 60-question sheet?

5.3 mm across, the same as on the shorter sheets, because thirty rows per column fit at the largest size. That only holds at 100% print scale.

Can I use it for 55 or 58 questions?

Yes: leave the unused rows blank. For an exact count, the generator builds any number from 1 to 300.

Does it fit on one page?

Yes. All sixty rows are on a single side of a single sheet.
